After immigrating to British Columbia as a child, Anne has lived in Burnaby for more than 30 years, and been an active community volunteer since she was eight years old. Her commitment to service earned her the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for her contribution to Canada.
A former teacher and a mother to two young children, Anne has seen firsthand the damage the BC Liberals did to public education in BC, and understands the positive impact that affordable, accessible child care will have for families across British Columbia.
As Minister of Citizens’ Services, Anne has been a champion for the rights of older British Columbians, working to ensure they get the support they need to succeed and thrive.
